Connor Medbery, Jesse Thielke To Take Olympic Redshirts
Wisconsin wrestling took to Twitter to announce that returning NCAA All-American Connor Medbery, and returning NCAA qualifier Jesse Thielke, will take an Olympic redshirts next season.
Medbery will be looking to make the team in freestyle after not placing at the U.S. Open or World Team Trials. Medbery was fourth at last years NCAA Tournament, and would have been the third highest returning placer this season.
Thielke will be looking to make the team in Greco after previously being the World Team reprsentative in 2013, and a runner-up finish to Spenser Mango at the U.S. Open. "Jesse Thielke is very good at Greco-Roman, but it's your day to day routine and consistency thats going to help him make the team," Davis added.
