Just last week, the University of Pittsburgh announced that Jason Peters had been dismissed as the Panthers' head wrestling coach. And now, according to reports by PittNews.com, Peters was relieved of his position due to an incident while the team was at the Midlands Championships in Evanston, Illinois on December 29-30.

The reports also state that Pitt senior 149-pounder Mikey Racciato along with two other unnamed wrestlers were suspended indefinitely because of the incident and that "the wrestlers were asked to sign a confidentiality agreement to not disclose information information about the firing [of Peters] or suspensions."

Following Peters' firing, assistant head coaches Matt Kocher and Drew Headlee were named co-head coaches for the rest of the season.
