Alex Thomsen Verbals To Nebraska
Alex Thomsen has verbally committed to wrestle for the Nebraska Cornhuskers
Alex Thomsen has verbally committed to wrestle for Nebraska. The No. 46 junior on the class of 2018 Big Board is 139-0 heading into his senior season.
Thomsen has placed in both styles in Fargo, as a junior last year and cadet in 2015. Most recently, he placed fourth at 55kg in freestyle at UWW Junior Nationals in Las Vegas last month.
He finished out the year ranked 8th in the country at 126lbs and was one of the most highly sought after recruits in his state. Thomsen projects as a 125/133 in college. Nebraska just signed the No. 8 recruiting class, with Jason Renteria coming in right around Thomsen's weight. Kris Williams projects as Nebraska's 125 starter next year, and could potentially hold the spot until after Thomsen redshirts.

The three-time state champ for Underwood lives right near the Nebraska/Iowa state line and frequently trains at the Nebraska Wrestling Training Center. Next year, he could become just the fifth wrestler in Iowa history to finish as a four-time undefeated state champ.I'm proud to announce that I have committed to the University of Nebraska. #GBR #Huskers pic.twitter.com/KrQ9nUecAx
