2010 KANSAS KIDS DISTRICT 1 SOUTH SUB-DISTRICT TOURNAMENT DATE: March 13, 2010 SITE: Pittsburg State Univ. Garfield Weede Gym, 1601 South Homer Street HOST CLUB: Pittsburg Wrestling Club ADMISSION FEE: Adults $3.00 Students (k-12) $2.00 ENTRY FEE: $20.00 Per Wrestler (Non-Refundable) Make checks payable to Pittsburg Wrestling Club (PWC). ENTRY FORMS: We will be utilizing www.trackwrestling.com. Each club will be responsible for inputting their wrestlers into this system. Your club contact will be receiving a user name and password by email notification once your team has been set-up in trackwrestling.com. ONLY the club contact can enter information for their clubs. The deadline for entering your wrestler’s information is March 3, 2010. NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED INTO THE SYSTEM AFTER THIS DATE. Once you have entered a wrestler into the system there will be NO REFUND even if you scratch them at the seeding meeting. You must have a Kansas Kids waiver form for each wrestler, complete with all information with signature of both parent and club director. REMEMBER 6 & under and novice records cannot be used. Please indicate all 6 and under wrestlers. Coaches must have a Bronze Card and a USA Coaches Card. All wrestling waiver forms and payment must be brought to the seeding meeting on March 7th, 2010 12pm in Wellsville or mailed to Doug Hitchcock, 2203 S. Stilwell Pittsburg, KS 66762 before the March 3th deadline OR your wrestler will not be entered into the tournament. RULES: All wrestlers must have a current USAW card. All wrestlers will follow all rules for USAW Kansas Kids Sanctioned Tournaments. Club directors will be held responsible for the actions of all their wrestlers, coaches and parents. Fingernails will be checked at weigh-in. If your wrestler has braces on their teeth they must have their protective mouth piece at the weigh in. As in the past, the hair rule is that it must be contained in some type of skull cap if it does not meet the criteria by the high school rule book. No wrestler will be permitted to wrestle with ANY type of communicable skin disease. Each club should have a physical status of skin form, which must be filled out by a physician and dated within the last six days along with a note from a doctors note pad signed. Reminder that if you do not show up for the seeding meeting do not complain about the seeding your wrestler receives. Age classifications were changed November 1996 and October 2009 (High School Division). PLAQUES: Plaques will be awarded to top 4 placers. WEIGH-IN: Friday Night 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm / Saturday 6:30am - 7:30 am COACHES MEETING: 8:00 am Saturday morning WRESTLING STARTS: 9:00 AM No one will be allowed on the Mat Side without a Coaches Band. Please make sure you tell your Parents. THERE WILL BE NO FOOD ALLOWED IN THE GYM AND NO SMOKING IN THE SCHOOL. Stilwell Pittsburg, KS 66762 TABLE WORKERS NEEDED Pittsburg Wrestling Club would like to offer to Pay $75.00 per table to any club that is willing to cover the table all day. The following duties would involve: Official Scorekeeper, Official Timer, Flip Top Scorekeeper, Towel Tap Person, Bout Sheets Completed, Wall Bracket Updater). The tables will be issued on a first come bases. Please contact me by Feb. 24th, 2010 with the following information: Club Name, Contact Person and Phone Number or Email Address, Table Age Preference. PITTSBURG STATE UNIVERSITY FACILITY Pittsburg State University has updated their Indoor Track Facility in 2006. Therefore, they (PSU) will absolutely not allow food or drink in the arena wrestling area. Table Workers will be the only exception. Please pass this along to all of your club members and participates. Please remember this was one of the contingencies that District 1 South Clubs agreed on to help police this request from Pittsburg State University.
