2020-21 Arizona High School Rankings
2020-21 Arizona High School Rankings: 160
Markell Rivera, the former #2 132-pounder, claims his new weight class. Despite jumping up multiple classes, his previous success and sixth-place finish at Brian Keck Preseason Nationals shows he can dominate the 160-pound class. Rivera made a run at the 152-pound class in the Super 32 but finished 1-2. He is expected to stay up at 160 pounds though.
Collin McCorckle moved to Pennsylvania and Jacob Done jumped up to 170, leaving holes in the weight class.
Ironwood Ridge’s Brent Ward jumps from the 145-pound class to claim the #4 spot. He finished first at the Under the Lights tournament.
Fernando Gonzales sneaks into the top-10 after a fifth-place finish in the state championships. Plus, he has a resumé that shows he can create havoc in the next year or so.
