2023-24 National Girls High School Wrestling Rankings

95 pounds

USA Wrestling, FloWrestling and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum has published the November 2023 rankings for high school girls wrestlers for the 2023-24 season. This national ranking evaluates all girls enrolled in grades 8-12, and athletes from all 50 states are eligible for selection.

The preseason has concluded, with all of the major events held prior to the start of the high school season, including Super 32, the USA Wrestling Preseason Nationals, FreakShow and many others. In some states, early season high school tournaments have already started, with most of the nation competing regularly throughout December.

This year, the weight classes for the rankings have been changed to the new USA Wrestling weight classes, which include the current National Federation of State High School Association (NFHS) girls wrestling weight classes, plus an additional weight class, 95 pounds. There will now be 15 weight classes with rankings, instead of the previous 14 weight classes.

There are some new No. 1 wrestlers in the November rankings, based upon preseason success and some athletes changing to new weight classes. Taking over No. 1 for the first time this year are Jaclyn Bouzakis of Pennsylvania (95), Riley Rayome of Texas (115) and Haylie Jaffe of Pennsylvania (135).

U17 World champion Morgan Turner of Illinois moved back up to 100 pounds where she remains #1 at her new weight class. Those who also remain #1 from the preseason rankings include Audrey Jimenez of Arizona (105), Clare Booe of Florida (110), Isabella Marie Gonzales of California (120), Everest Leydecker of Arizona (125), Taina Fernandez of Maryland (130), Kaydence Gerg of Idaho (140), Nebi Tsarni of Maryland (145), Jasmine Robinson of Texas (155), Piper Fowler of Tennessee (170), Sabrina Nauss of Michigan (190) and Erica Cobos of Texas (235).

The Pound-For-Pound (P-4-P) rankings were also updated, although very little changed at the top of the rankings. The top five are all the same:  #1 Audrey Jimenez of Arizona (105), #2 Piper Fowler of Tennessee (170), #3 Morgan Turner of Illinois (100), #4 Jasmine Robinson of Texas (155) and #5 Sabrina Nauss of Michigan (190). Athletes who are new to the P-4-P include Kaidance Gerg of Idaho at #15, Riley Rayome of Texas at #22, Naomi Simon of Iowa at #23, Isis France of Arizona at #24 and Violette Lasure of Pennsylvania at #25.

The next National Girls High School Ranking will be in early January, after all of the major early season tournaments in December, including some tremendous holiday competitions where athletes from many states come together to challenge themselves.

Coaches, parents and athletes are encouraged to provide information about specific athletes and their achievements throughout the year for the committee to consider. If they have information on specific girls who should be considered for ranking or updates on their achievements, please send it by email to girlsrankings@usawrestling.org. The quality of these rankings continue to improve as people choose to share updated information.

The first National Girls High School Team ranking will be published in December. Coaches with high-quality teams that should be considered are asked to send their starting line-up, their schedule, coach contact information and all other supportive data to girlsrankings@usawrestling.org for consideration.
