It’s been more than 10 years since Iowa won a Junior Duals national title. Led by NCAA All-Americans Cory Clark and Willie Miklus, Iowa placed second in 2012, but lost to Illinois in the finals. Iowa is hoping to improve last year’s fifth-place finish by bringing 11 state champions and multiple Fargo All-Americans to Tulsa.

Kyle Biscoglia (113) - He became a Fargo All-American last season after placing sixth at 100lbs in the Cadet division. Biscoglia won a state title this season at 106lbs.

Watch Biscoglia take out Cadet World fifth-placer, Dylan D'Emilio.

Jack Wagner (120) - The Future Hawkeye won his third state championship in his final prep season. Wagner competed at Fargo last season but defaulted out due to injury early in the tournament. He reached All-American status in 2013. He’s been competing for team Iowa at Junior Duals since 2013.

Brock Rathbun (132) - Rathbun will join Wagner next year at Iowa and also won his third state title this season. He placed third at UWW Cadet Nationals in 2014, but has yet to reach the podium at Fargo despite competing at the tournament the past two years.

Carter Happel (138) - The only Fargo champion on the roster, Happel took the title in the 2013. The following year, he won UWW Cadet Nationals and competed on the U.S. national team at Cadet Worlds in Slovakia. Happel became the 25th four-time state champion in Iowa this year, and will take his talents to Iowa City in the fall.

Nelson Brands (145) - The son of Terry Brands, he won his first state title this season as a sophomore. Brands did not place at Fargo last summer, but continues to improve. He placed fourth in Las Vegas at UWW Junior Nationals in Greco at 70kg.

Colton Clingenpeel (160) - He is a two-time Fargo All-American. The North Dakota State commit won his first state championship this season.

Marcus Coleman (170) - In his junior campaign, Coleman cruised to his second Iowa state title. He was a Fargo finalist last summer in the cadet division.

Wyatt Wriedt (220) - He pulled off one the biggest upsets at the Iowa state tournament this past season when he upended two-time defending state champ and Oklahoma State commit Ethan Andersen in the finals. Wriedt earned All-American status at Fargo last summer, but like the majority of his Iowa teammates, it was at the cadet level.

Carter Isley (HWT) - Isley is the lone All-American for team Iowa in the junior division. He placed in both styles last summer at Fargo, which included a runner-up finish in Greco, but lost in the finals, 2-1, to Dante Jiovenetta of Florida. The two-time state champion went undefeated in Tulsa in Greco last summer and went 5-3 in freestyle.
