Out of all 31 competitors at last year's Night of Conflict, Aden Reeves was the only freshman, and took on seasoned veteran Justin Portillo at 113 pounds. This year, Reeves will be the first participant from Iowa to return for Night of Conflict 2.
You can watch Night of Conflict 2 LIVE, right here on FloWrestling.
Last year, inviting Reeves was a no-brainer. He was coming off All-American honors in both freestyle and Greco-Roman at the Cadet National Championships, and he has continued his winning ways since then. In Iowa 2A, Reeves placed third as a freshman, repeated as an All-American, and took eighth at Fargo in cadet freestyle.
Reeves is not only one of the best wrestlers in the state, but FloWrestling also tabbed him as the No. 30 wrestler overall in the class of 2019. In his young prep career, Reeves owns wins over Ben Kamali, Quincy Monday, Jaret Lane and Aaron Cashman.
Watch Aden Reeves take out Fargo champ Jaret Lane:
For his opponent we looked to Oak Grove's Connor Brown. Brown is a three-time Missouri state champion, and is currently ranked No. 15 at 120 pounds by FloWrestling. Brown is coming off a 3-2 performance at Fargo, where he fell to studs Drew Mattin and Jaxon Cole.
