St. Ed's Incredible NCAA Tournament All-American Streak
St. Ed's Incredible NCAA Tournament All-American Streak
St. Edward's High School incredible NCAA Tournament All-American streak.
There are three guarantees in life: death, taxes, and St. Edward High School having an All-American at an NCAA Tournament.
For the last 34 years, the Lakewood, Ohio, prep school has had at least one All-American competing in the NCAA's championship meets. Only once during the streak has the All-American not been at the Division I level. In fact, in 18 of those years, the Eagles had multiple DI All-Americans.
Earlier this week we looked at which wrestlers currently had the longest win streaks in DI wrestling, but the most impressive run in college wrestling belongs to St. Edward High School.
Take a look at the streak through the years.

2017 NCAA Tournament St. Ed Alumni
141: No. 1 Dean Heil, Oklahoma State
149: Nick Barber, Eastern Michigan
149: Hunter Ladnier, Harvard
157: No. 10 Colin Heffernan, Central Michigan
285: No. 3 Ty Walz, Virginia Tech
The question is how long can this incredible streak continue? The streak should be in safe hands this year with Heil and Walz each looking to claim All-American honors for the third time. Next season Heil and Heffernan return for their senior years while Michigan stud Domenic Abounader will be back from a medical redshirt and should start ranked in the top five.
St. Ed is currently ranked in No. 3 in the nation and boasts four individually ranked wrestlers including Missouri commits Alan Hart and Jared Campbell. It's safe to say the St. Ed's streak might not have an end in sight.
