According to an article on PA Power Wrestling, three-time Pennsylvania state champion Spencer Lee has been wrestling since the end of January with a torn ACL.

Lee, who was undefeated coming into the 126 pound state finals against Exeter's Austin DeSanto, suffered the first loss of his high school career when DeSanto scored the go-ahead takedown as time expired to win 6-5.  DeSanto, a Drexel commit, cut down from 132 pounds to face Spencer Lee. Lee teched DeSanto last year 15-0 in the state finals.

Speculation about Spencer's health began when he started wrestling with a massive knee brace in various tournaments around Pennsylvania.  Despite the injury, Lee kept winning, and was just seconds away from putting the cap on an undefeated career.

Lee has had injuries before.  A torn Labrum in 2015 sidelined Lee through Super 32, Ironman and Powerade, before returning later his Junior year where he won his third state title.

The entire thrilling finals bout can be watched below.  Congratulations to Austin DeSanto on a dream realized, and best of luck to Spencer Lee in his recovery.
