David Taylor Questions J'den Cox's Fight
David Taylor took to twitter to express his distaste for how J'den Cox wrestled in the semifinals at the World Championships.
After J'den Cox's surprising loss to Boris Makoev in the semifinals of the 2017 World Championships, David Taylor took to twitter to express his distaste for how Cox wrestled. Taylor and Cox had a controversial ending to their three-match series at the World Team Trials where things got very heated, and now it seems that old wounds may have reopened.
Cox fell behind when he was nearly pinned early in the match forcing him to have to fight back from a 6-0 deficit. Ultimately, Cox was unable to get the win falling, 6-3. This is what prompted Taylor's response via Twitter.

Shortly after, Kevin Jackson fired back at Taylor.Cox had the golden goose served on the Golden platter to be WC w/ that draw. He is too talented to have no fight down 6-1. Makes me sick.

Along with Jackson, Kyven Gadson had a response to Taylor as well. Those who have competed in a World Championship understand how difficult it is to win the title. Very disappointed in lack of support 4 jden

Taylor has wins over Cox, Valiev and Olympic Champion Yazdani Cherati, who were all in the semifinals, and sent this tweet before the matches started. Makoev's resume includes losses to Moza Fay and Nick Marable. You're not competing this week are you? Ironic how you haven't been to World Championships or Olympic Games. But you're tweeting! Sit down. https://t.co/eA0HDsVR4V
