Ohio State Wrestling Documentary Series Premieres April 12
Watch for the series premiere of "Young Bucks: A Season With Ohio State" on April 12.
For the first time ever, FloWrestling spent the entire season with a college team to create a multi-part documentary series.
“Young Bucks: A Season With Ohio State” will air in its entirety during the latter part of 2023, but the first two episodes will be released on April 12. This six-part series follows Ohio State through a turbulent season that culminated with an improbable finish.
From the moment their monster recruiting class stepped foot on campus to the final whistle at the NCAA Championships, FloWrestling was there to capture everything that happened on the mat and behind the scenes.
Follow along as Buckeye coach Tom Ryan leads his team through the 2023 wrestling season, and watch the story unfold as Sammy Sasso, Jesse Mendez, Kaleb Romero, and the rest of the team navigate a challenging season.
Ohio State earned team trophies from 2015-2019 but hasn’t placed in the top four since. A 13th-place finish at the 2022 NCAA tournament was the driving force behind this season’s climb back to national prominence.
You’ll watch true freshman Mendez win three tiebreakers in a row at the NCAA tournament to become an All-American. You’ll see senior Sammy Sasso’s heartbreaking loss to Cornell’s Yianni Diakomihalis in the NCAA Championship finals.
It’s all part of a documentary series like no other. Be sure to watch the first two episodes on April 12 before the full release later this year.
