#2 Luke Lilledahl Commits To Penn State
Luke Lilledahl, the #2 ranked 120-pounder and #2 on the 2024 Big Board, has announced his commitment to the Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team.
Luke Lilledahl, the #2 ranked 120-pound high schooler in the nation and second highest ranked recruit in the Class of 2024 Big Board, has announced via social media that he will be joining an already loaded Penn State recruiting class.
The commitment from Lilledahl, a Missouri native who attends Wyoming Seminary in Pennsylvania, gives the Nittany Lions their sixth recruit from the 2024 Big Board, five of whom are in the top ten. Besides Luke, Penn State has also received commitments from #5 Joe Sealey, #6 Zack Ryder, #8 Mason Gibson, #9 Connor Mirasola, and #18 Cole Mirasola.
Lilledahl will arrive in State College, PA with a trophy case full of accolades. Just this past season he won a Super 32 belt in the fall. He followed up with a championship at the prestigious Walsh Jesuit Ironman. Luke then capped off the season with a 2023 National Prep title.

Lilledhal is also highly credentialled in freestyle, having made back-to-back U17 world teams, bringing home a silver medal in 2021 and winning gold in 2022 in Rome.

Currently wrestling 126-pounds, Lilledahl has the frame to wrestle 133 or higher in college, though where he eventually slots into the Nittany Lion lineup is to be determined. He could have competition from his future classmate Mason Gibson as well as incoming freshman Braedan Davis, who was ranked #30 on the Class of 2023 Big Board.
If Lilledahl stays at 125 he'll have Robbie Howard and Gary Steen to contend with, both of whom have three years of eligibility remaining.
