Joliet Catholic junior Dillan Johnson has committed to Northwestern for both Football and Wrestling.
One of the biggest questions surrounding Dillan Johnson's recruiting process was whether he would wrestle or play football at the next level. The #2 heavyweight in America has decided to do both. The Joliet Catholic junior committed to competing for Northwestern's football and wrestling programs with the following tweet:

Johnson is currently the #10 ranked recruit in the class of 2024 and a three-star football recruit with multiple power-five offers. In the last year, he won an Ironman title and finished as a Fargo runner-up. Johnson's brother Eric was drafted by the Colts in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft to play Defensive Tackle.

Johnson is Northwestern's first Big Board recruit in the class of 2024. Even though he's committed to the Wildcats as a two-sport athlete, the question of whether he'll wrestle in college will be debated until Northwestern fans see it happen. Johnson joins a growing trend of heavyweights committing to both wrestle and play D1 football. In the class of 2023, #2 Ben Kueter plans to do both at Iowa, and #11 Jim Mullen will attempt to do the same at Virginia Tech.
