Days 5 & 6 - Men's Freestyle Results

45 kg - Ignacio Villasenor 3-1 (bronze medalist)

After an impressive 6-0 victory over emerging Puerto Rico (by way of Pennsylvania) star Fred Bachmann, Colorado rising freshman Ignacio Villasenor earned a tech in the quarterfinals then fell to Ahora Khateri of Iran in the semifinals. He brought home a bronze medal via a competitive 3-2 victory over his Russian opponent.

48 kg - Paul Kenny 4-0 (gold medalist)

Paul Kenny hasn't set foot in a high school classroom yet, but he's already proving himself on the world stage. After a tech, a 4-2 second-round match, a quarterfinal pin, and a razor-thin 8-8 semifinal victory, Kenny found himself in the finals where he outlasted his Japanese opponent to win 1-1 on criteria.

51 kg - Christian Castillo 0-2 (eliminataed)

After falling in the first round to Rohit of India, returning World silver medalist Christian Castillo waited to see how Rohit would finish. He punched his ticket to the World finals and pulled Castillo back in. Castillo had Hasanov of Azerbaijan in repechage who defeated him in a 12-6 shootout.

55 kg - Marcus Blaze 3-0 (gold medalist)

Blaze started his tournament with a clutch 2-1 victory over Teymorizad of Iran then followed that up with three techs to advance to the finals. He's been a closer in par terre. When he's gotten on top, he's ended matches.

Ben Davino lost a tough 5-0 decision against Azerbaijan's Jamal Abbasov. After winning a quarterfinal bout, Abbasov fell in the semifinals 3-2 and eliminated Davino from the tournament.

65 kg - Brock Mantanona 4-1 (bronze medalist)

Brock Man has racked up 43 points in three matches using Mantanona-style unconventional offense. He fell in his semifinal against Magomed Alibakharchiev and will wrestle in the bronze medal match.

71 kg - LaDarion Lockett 5-0 (gold medalist)

LaDarion Lockett hasn't surrendered a point in the first four matches of the U17 World Championships. He's earned techs over Rivera from Puerto Rico, Schmitt of Germany, and Narender of India. His closest bout on day 1 was an 8-0 decision over Seilbekov of Kazakhstan. Lockett will wrestle for Gold on the final day of the tournament.

80 kg - Zack Ryder 2-1 (bronze medalist)

Returning bronze medalist Zack Ryder had a tight 2-1 contest in his opening bout against Kazakhstan. His quarterfinal was a one-move match as Ryder ended it in the first with a big throw and a fall. Moldova's Alexandru Bors defeated Ryder in the semifinal 4-1 sending him to the bronze medal match.

After a quick fall in his opening match of the day, Aeoden Sinclair lost a close 5-3 decision to Iran's Toohid Noory who was defeated a round later in the quarterfinals eliminating Sinclair.

110 kg - Sampson Stillwell 0-1 (eliminated)

Stillwell dropped his opening match to Henrik Haykyan of Armenia. Haykyan lost in his semifinal match, eliminating Stillwell.

40 kg - Jaclyn Bouzakis 1-1 (in bronze medal match)

After winning her opening bout 9-6, Jaclyn Bouzakis dropped a tight 5-4 semifinal against Rachana of India. She will compete in the bronze medal match at 40 kg tomorrow.

43 kg - Morgan Turner 4-0 (gold medalist)

Illinois star Morgan Turner dominated her first two bouts at the U17 World Championships then won a tight 4-2 contest in the semifinals to punch her ticket to the World gold medal match. Her finals match was a tight 3-2 victory over Mona Ezaka of Japan.

Rianne Murphy dropped her opening bout to Valeryia Tsitova then was eliminated one round later when Tsitova fell in the quarterfinals.

49 kg - Heather Crull 3-1 (bronze medalist)

After a first-round tech and an exciting 13-8 quarterfinal victory, Heather Crull fell against Sviatlana Katenka in the semifinal. She dominated Lonisa Reka of Kosovo in her bronze medal match to bring home hardware for Team USA.

53 kg - Karlee Brooks 2-1 (in bronze medal match)

Arizona star Karlee Brooks won her opening match but fell in the quarterfinals against Sakura Onishi of Japan. Onishi's semifinal victory pulled Brooks into repechage. She will compete against Mongolkhuu of Mongolia in repechage for a chance to wrestle Rinella of Italy in the bronze medal match.

57 kg - Everest Leydecker 0-1 (eliminated)

In the first round of 57 kg action, Arizona star Everest Leydecker dropped a 5-0 bout to Neha of India. Leydecker was eliminated two rounds later when Neha fell in an 8-4 quarterfinal against Uchida of Japan.

61 kg - Haylie Jaffee 2-1 (in bronze medal match)

After winning her first two matches without giving up a point, Haylie Jaffee fell by tech to Savita of India. She will compete in the bronze medal match tomorrow.

Rakhimjonova of Uzbekistan beat Team USA's May Prado in the round of 16 at 65 kg then fell against of Yoshida of Japan in the next round eliminating Prado.

69 kg - Jasmine Robinson 2-1 (in bronze medal match)

Texas star Jasmine Robinson was utterly dominant in her first two matches at the U17 World Championships, but she lost a competitive 8-5 match against Srishti of India in the semifinals. She will compete for bronze tomorrow.

On day 1, Piper Fowler cruised through her three bouts in Turkey. On day 2, she outlasted Germany's Lotta Englich 5-2 to bring home a World gold medal.

Kansas star Ezekiel Witt fell in the first round to Edgar Petrosyan of Armenia. Witt was eliminated after Petrosyan fell in his semifinal 4-1 to Sakhzod Ruziokhunov of Uzbekistan.

Hudson Loges lost his opening match to Turkmenistan's Husniddin Ulugbekov. Ulugbekov fell in the quarterfinals which eliminated Loges from competition.

55 kg - Jordyn Raney 5-0 (gold medalist)

The Kentucky rising sophomore punched his ticket to the World finals with an incredible come-from-behind victory over Iran in the semifinals. Raney's late-match heroics are must-watch! In the finals, Raney used several big moves to take home the title for Team USA.

Bishop McCort rising sophomore Sam Herring fell in the first round to Yerdaulet Lassim of Kazakhstan and was later eliminated when Lassim dropped his quarterfinal bout against Georgia's Surmanidze.

65 kg - Billy Greenwood 0-2 (eliminated)

Colorado prep Billy Greenwood fell 8-0 to Yusif Ahmadli of Azerbaijan, but he was pulled back into repechage after Ahmaldi teched his way to the finals. Greenwood's tournament ended on day 2 when he lost his repechage bout to Efthymiadis of Greece.

71 kg - Arvin Khosravy 0-1 (eliminated)

California Greco specialist Arvin Khosravy lost in his opening match against individual neutral athlete Ivan Bialiyeu. Later, Bialiayeu fell in the quarterfinals against Abdulkadyrov, another individual neutral athlete. The loss ended Khosravy's tournament.

80 kg - Adam Waters 2-1 (eliminated)

Freshman PIAA champ Adam Waters won his first two matches before falling to Eleftherios Pappas of Greece in the quarterfinals. He was eliminated when Papas dropped his semifinal bout to Mikhail Shkarin.

After winning his opening match, Aiden Cooley was defeated by Gabriel Stan of Romania in the quarterfinals. Stan lost his semifinal bout which eliminated Cooley from competition.

110 kg - Nicholas Sahakian 2-2 (5th place)

After winning his opening bout against a Hungarian opponent, Nicholas Sahakian fell to Ronak of India. He was pulled back into repechage when Ronak advanced to the finals. Sahakian beat Tomas Rusi of Finland in his opening repechage match. In the bronze medal match Eldar Emirov, a neutral athlete, pinned Sahakian at the end of the first period.
