High School Star May Prado Commits To Wartburg
Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, just landed one of the best pound-for-pound wrestlers in the country.
Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, just made a statement: the Knights are going after the best wrestlers in the country.
May Prado — ranked #20 in recent the pound-for-pound high school rankings and #2 at 145 — announced on Instagram that she commited to Wartburg.
“I am extremely excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Wartburg College!!” Prado wrote. “I want to thank all my family, coaches, friends, and teammates. They have all supported me through the ups and downs and I wouldn’t be where I am today without them.
“Thank you Wartburg Women’s Wrestling for welcoming me into your family! I am so excited to start the next chapter in my life!!! GO KNIGHTS.”
Prado hails from Marietta, Georgia, and recently competed on FloWrestling’s Who’s Number One card after competing at the U17 World Championships in Istanbul. Wartburg will compete in its first full season of competition this year.
