LaDarion Lockett, the #3 recruit in the class of 2025, has committed to the Oklahoma State wrestling program. He is the second Big Board recruit for the Cowboys' class of 2025.
At the start of his recruiting process, Lockett made it clear that he planned to explore all options, and he stuck to that plan. He documented visits to Arizona State, Oklahoma, Iowa, Oklahoma State, Little Rock, and Iowa State on his Instagram account, but ultimately, he decided to compete for his home town team.
The Stillwater, Oklahoma 165-pounder has become one of the most exciting high school wrestlers in the country. He won an Ironman title as a freshman, and won a gold medal at the U17 World Championships this summer.
Lockett's U17 World gold medal match
Lockett recently competed in an ultra-deep Ironman bracket that included five wrestlers ranked in the top five in the country. He finished third there, only falling to fellow U17 World champ Joe Sealey in the semifinals.
Oklahoma State's class of 2025 takes a significant step up with Lockett's commitment. He joins Tuttle Oklahoma's Beau Hickman, the #57 ranked recruit in the class.
