Iowa State wrestling's Cody Chittum upset #4 Jacori Teemer of Arizona State in a dual on Friday night.

Iowa State wrestling freshman Cody Chittum just notched the biggest win of his freshman year. The Tennessee native took out Arizona State's two-time NCAA All-American Jacori Teemer in one of ISU's most highly anticipated dual meets of the season.

Chittum and Teemer both competed in the same bracket last month at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. Chittum finished 2-2 in that bracket, and Teemer finished as a runner-up. Since that time, Teemer went on to win the 2023 Midlands Championships.
Iowa State wrestling fans have been excited about the addition of Chittum. He was formerly the top-ranked recruit in his class, and his victory Friday night seems to confirm the potential many wrestling fans have seen in Chittum since his high school days.
