Minnesota Wrestling's Michael Blockhus Takes Out Nebraska's #3 Peyton Robb
In the same week, Minnesota's Michael Blockhus took out #3 Peyton Robb of Nebraska and Iowa Wrestling's #2 Jared Franek.
A week ago, Iowa's #2 Jared Franek and Nebraska's #3 Peyton Robb squared off in one of the most highly anticipated matchups of the week. Since that time, Michael Blockhus has taken out both of them.
Blockhus' outstanding season is especially important for Minnesota because he wasn't planning to be part of the team a few months ago. In April, Blockhus announced his plans to forgo his final year of eligibility to pursue his MMA career. Since that time, Blockhus hasn't just rejoined the team, he's established himself as one of the top contenders for a title at 157 lbs.
