Little Rock Wrestling Takes Out Arizona State 18-15
The Little Rock Trojans took out Pac-12 foes Arizona State Wrestling in an 18-15 dual meet.
The Little Rock Trojans are only in their 5th season, but they've already notched a marquee dual meet victory for the program. The Pac-12 newbies defeated perennial power Arizona State on Friday night for perhaps the biggest win in program history.
ASU earned the first victory of the dual when Richard Figueroa beat Jeremiah Reno 18-5. Little Rock then got a victory from Nasir Bailey at 133 lbs before suffering three straight losses to Cody Foote, Kyle Parco, and Jacori Teemer.
Joe Bianchi got the Trojans back on track at 165 lbs with a sudden victory decision in a wild 11-8 bout. Tyler Brennan, Triston Wills, and Stephen Little all earned victories as well. Little's win came via technical fall. Those bonus points were enough to give the Trojans the victory despite Josiah Hill's loss to Cohlton Schultz.
