The 2024 IHSAA Iowa High School Wrestling State Championship is going down this weekend from Feb.14-17 in Des Moines, IA at the Wells Fargo Arena. The top wrestlers in the State of Iowa will leave it all on the mat this weekend as we wrap up the 2023-24 season.

This weekends action will feature not only top ranked 1A-3A High School Wrestlers, but also recent Champions from the 2024 IHSAA State Dual Team Tournament which took place on Feb.3.

Last year, at the 2023 IHSAA High School State wrestling Tournament 3A Waverly-Shell Rock, 2A Osage, and 1A Don Bosco were all Named Champions and looking to repeat this weekend.

2024 IHSAA STATE WRESTLING TOURNAMENT & WEIGH-IN SCHEDULE. February 14-17, 2024 , Wells Fargo Arena, Des Moines, IA.

(All matches, championship & consolation, will consist of 3, 2-minute periods) (Mat assignments will be made – up, on-deck, in-the-hole – for sessions 1-10) 

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 14 

• SESSION 1 (8 mats) 9:00am-12:30pm Class 2A 1st & 2nd round & 1st round consolations Weigh-in for Session 1: 7:00am 
• SESSION 2 (8 mats) 1:30pm-5:00pm Class 3A 1st & 2nd round & 1st round consolations Weigh-in for Session 2: 11:30am 
• SESSION 3 (8 mats) 6:00pm-9:30pm Class 1A 1st & 2nd round & 1st round consolations Weigh-in for Session 3: 4:00pm 
• THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15 
• SESSION 4 (8 mats) 9:00am-12:30pm Class 2A 2nd rd. cons., Quarterfinals, 3rd rd. cons.  Weigh-in for Session 1: 7:00am 
• SESSION 5 (8 mats) 1:30pm-5:00pm Class 3A 2nd rd. cons., Quarterfinals, 3rd rd. cons. Weigh-in for Session 2: 11:30am 
• SESSION 6 (8 mats) 6:00pm-9:30pm Class 1A 2nd rd. cons., Quarterfinals, 3rd rd. cons. Weigh-in for Session 3: 4:00pm

• SESSION 7 (6 mats) 9:00am-12:00pm Class 2A 4th rd. cons., Semifinals, 5th rd. cons.  Weigh-in for Session 1: 7:00am 
• SESSION 8 (6 mats) 1:30pm-4:30pm Class 3A 4th rd. cons., Semifinals, 5th rd. cons. Weigh-in for Session 2: 11:30am 
• SESSION 9 (6 mats) 6:00pm-9:00pm Class 1A 4th rd. cons., Semifinals, 5th rd. cons. Weigh-in for Session 3: 4:00pm

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17

Weigh-in for Sessions 10 & 11 7:00am  

• SESSION 10 (6 mats) 9:00am - 2:15pm Class 2A, 3A, 1A consolation semifinals & finals (Consolation semifinal matches will be wrestled to completion with no break between classes.  Consolation Finals: 7th place matches all classes followed by 5th place matches all classes followed by  3rd place matches all classes) 
• SESSION 11 (3 mats) 5:15 IWCOA, IHSADA & IHSAA Awards 5:30 Grand March and Finals for all classes
