Lehigh University has made a major recruiting coup by signing the nation's top high school wrestler, Audrey Jimenez. She made history by becoming the first girl to win the Arizona high school boys’ state championship and also won the 2023 U.S. Open after her junior year.

Audrey expressed her excitement about joining Lehigh University, stating that she was won over by the university's environment, resources, and opportunities. She looks forward to being part of the women's program and LVWC and hopes to learn from the wonderful people in the community. She was grateful to her family, friends, and the Sunnyside community.

Brazel Marquez recently accepted the head women’s coaching position at the Lehigh Valley Wrestling Club following a stint with Vanguard University in California. Marquez's previous comments indicate that Lehigh is considering adding a women’s wrestling program, which would increase the number of D1 women’s wrestling programs from four to five.

Iowa, Lindenwood, Presbyterian, and Sacred Heart are the only programs with that designation.
