Hamiti placed 6th at 165 pounds at the NCAA Tournament in 2022 and 2023. However, this year he failed to place at NCAAs after losing in the round of 12 to Oklahoma State's Izzak Olejnik, 9-6 in overtime. Despite failing to reach the podium, Hamiti was ranked in the top 6 throughout the year at 165 pounds and peaked at #4 in FloWrestling's Division 1 rankings. With NCAA Champion David Carr graduating, and two-time NCAA Champion Keegan O'Toole rumored to be moving up to 174 pounds, Hamiti will be a contender for a title next year at 165 pounds.
