4x All-American Samantha Miller Transfers To McKendree
Samantha Miller will use her COVID year at McKendree following three seasons at Presbyterian and one at Mount Olive.
It didn't take Samantha Miller long to make her decision. The four-time All-American entered the transfer portal on March 28 and will attend McKendree to use her fifth and final year.
Miller competed at 101 pounds for Presbyterian College and placed sixth, fifth, and fifth at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships from 2021-23. She transferred to Mount Olive and began this season at 101 pounds but moved to 109, finishing third at nationals and scoring 24.5 team points — the fifth most of any wrestler in the tournament and the most of any non-champion.

"I feel entering the portal once again is best for me to achieve my goals to become a national champ and make a world team," Miller said. "After a great season, moving up a weight, being confident in my preparation, and being healthy, I know what I want. I'm extremely blessed to have an opportunity to have one last eligibility year. The third time is a charm."
Presbyterian, located in Clinton, South Carolina, is one of four Division I schools to offer women’s freestyle wrestling. Mount Olive is a Division II program in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
Division II McKendree won the first three NCWWC titles (2020-22) and finished third and fourth each of the last two seasons.
The Parkersburg, West Virginia, native was one of two place winners at this year’s national tournament on a Mount Olive team that placed ninth. She was the first female wrestler on the boys' wrestling team at Parkersburg South High School.
