Last Week In College Wrestling Recruiting: May 6-May 12
Your weekly wrestling recruiting round-up.
With the transfer portal officially closing (except for grad transfers and those experiencing a coaching change), the transfers have obviously slowed down. However, unlike last week, there was more than a handful of high school commitments - the most notable of which was #73 in the class of 2025 Brokton Borelli committing to Maryland. This is the Terps first Big Boarder from the class of 2025 and just their second recruit along with Garrett Reece from Colorado.
The two biggest names to announce their new homes last week where Cooper Flynn and Rylan Rogers. Flynn was a national qualifier for Virginia Tech this year at 125, but will be in a roster battle once again with 2023 All-American Eddie Ventresca when he returns from injury next season. Rogers, the #13 overall recruit from the class of 2022, has spent the last two years at Michigan but has been unable to crack the starting lineup sitting behind Jaden Bullock and Matt Finesilver.
