Christian Carroll Commits To Iowa State Wrestling Program
One week after entering the transfer portal, Christian Carroll has committed to the Iowa State Wrestling program.
One week ago, Christian Carroll entered the transfer portal. Today, the former Oklahoma State freshman announced his commitment to Iowa State.
The Indiana product spent his true freshman season at heavyweight but recently descended to 92 kg (roughly 203 lbs) for the U23 National Championships. Carroll was a massive recruit, having won titles at Super 32, Fargo, and the U20 World Team Trials.

Carroll projects as a 197-pounder for the Cyclones, a weight class where he could add much-needed productivity. While Iowa State did not have an NCAA qualifier at 197 lbs this season, they did acquire three-time Utah Valley qualifier Evan Bockman from the transfer portal earlier this off season. It's feasible that Bockman, who began his career as a 174-pounder at California Baptist, could compete for the starting spot at 184 lbs.
