2021 NCAA champion AJ Ferrari has re-opened his college search. The former Oklahoma State Cowboy appeared to be on the path to joining the Iowa Hawkeyes last winter, but that process ended after Ferrari was disqualified in the Soldier Salute finals following his contentions match with Iowa NCAA qualifier Zach Glazier.

Today, Ferrari took to Instagram to announce that he's moving on from Iowa and beginning official visits at other programs. "I'm leaving Iowa, and start official visits today." Ferrari posted. "I am young and starving for success on and off the wrestling mat." In his post, Ferrari also stated that that he still has 3 years of eligibility remaining.

Ferrari's move from Oklahoma State to Iowa initially made sense because his brothers Angelo and Anthony had also committed to the Hawkeyes. Now, it appears the Ferrari brothers will be competing for opposing schools. In text messages, Ferrari explained that he's very open minded in his renewed college search and is considering a wide range of options.

While Ferrari hasn't competed in a post season since 2021, he does have victories against two current top-ten ranked 197-pounders, #2 Stephen Buchanan and #10 Joey Novak.
