Before he was ever on the USA Wrestling Team, Spencer Lee was already one of the biggest stars in college and high school wrestling. 

The Pittsburgh area native won three NCAA Championships at 125 pounds, was a two-time Dan Hodge Trophy winner (Wrestling’s Heisman Trophy) and a five-time All-American. He was 98-6 at Iowa.

Before he was ever at Iowa, Lee a four-time Pennsylvania state qualifier and a three-time state champion

Lee’s career at Iowa was profiled earlier this year in FloWrestling and FloSports film “Spencer & Austin: Wrestletown, USA” that premiered in March. The film chronicles Lee’s rise to dominance and his friendship with teammate Austin DeSanto. 

Lee is wrestling in the 57 kg bracket at the 2024 Paris Olympics, which starts on Aug. 8 at Champ-de-Mars Arena.
