Maroulis gave up a takedown as the match closed but it didn't matter and Maroulis gets the 7-4 win.

Semifinals - 10-4 loss to Tsugumi Sakurai, JPN

Maroulis struck first with a slick trip for 2 to take the early lead over 3-time world champ Sakurai. Maroulis kept her pressure high and attempted another trip but Sakurai countered for four points and held a 4-2 lead going into the break. After a nice scramble in the second, Sakurai came out on top for a takedown and transitioned right to a leg lace to take an 8-2. Sakurai earned another takedown putting Maroulis right to her back - Sakurai almost got the fall but Maroulis bellied out to avoid the match-ender. Maroulis secured one final takedown but it's too little, too late. Sakurai wins 10-4 and Helen will wrestle for bronze on Friday afternoon.

Bronze Medal Match - Fall (4-0) over Hannah Taylor, CAN

She locks up a tight half-nelson and gets the fall just 24 seconds into the match. Helen Maroulis becomes the first ever 3-time Olympic medalist in women's freestyle for Team USA by winning bronze!
