Kyle Snyder is currently wrestling for Team USA at the 2024 Olympics in the 97 kg weight class. Check out the below article for Snyder's complete results from Paris

Round 1 - 9-5 win over Awusayiman Habila, CHN

Snyder started off with a straight-on single but Habila countered with a throw for four points to take an early lead. Snyder didn't press the action for the remainder of the first period but stayed in the hand fight looking to wear Habila down. The score stayed at 4-0 into the break.

Snyder got straight to his offense in the second period and scored an early takedown and a step out to cut the lead to 4-3 just 30 seconds into the period. Snyder secured two more takedowns and another step out to extend his lead to 8-4. After a late step out for Habila and a lost challenge, both Snyder and Habila earned another point, Snyder closed out his dominant second period to win 9-5.

Quarterfinals - Fall (5-0) over Arturo Silot, CUB

Snyder came out with a hard handfight - he wasn't able to get to a leg but did force Silot on the clock. Snyder earned a point off a shot clock point and took a 1-0 lead into the break. Silot came forward early in the second period and Snyder countered with a big whipover straight to Silot's back for the fall!

Semifinals - 6-4 loss to Akhmed Tazhudinov, BRN

Snyder controlled the handfight early and Tazhudinov was put on the clock first. Tazhudinov didn't score and Snyder went up 1-0. Tazhudinov hit a clean low single and finished quickly for 2 at the end of the first period to take a 2-1 lead into the break.

Tazhudinov got back to his low single about 90 seconds into the second period and finished for a takedown and transitioned to a turn to extend his lead to 6-1. Snyder picked up his hand fight and Tazhudinov looked to be slowing down - Snyder earned a step-out and takedown to close out the match. However, Snyder didn't have enough time to complete the comeback. Tazhudinov moves on to the finals - Snyder will wrestle for bronze.

Bronze Medal Match - 4-1 loss to Amirali Azarpira, IRI

Azarpira struck first with a nice reattack single leg takedown off of Snyder's cross-ankle pick. Snyder's forehead opened up during that sequence with a cut and the rest of the first period was spent in the hand fight and cleaning up blood.

Azarpira was put on the clock early in the second period and wasn't able to score but got back to Snyder's legs - each wrestler earned a point, Azarpira still led 3-1. Snyder picked up his pace and got to legs a few times put Azarpira's defense held strong. Snyder had a hard time getting into a rhythm because of stoppages for blood time and Azarpira held on to win 4-1.
