He's Back! Jordan Burroughs To Compete At World Team Trials In Omaha
Jordan Burroughs will compete at the World Team Trials in Omaha, Nebraska, on September 14-15.
Never count out Jordan Burroughs.
The seven-time World and Olympic champion has set the domestic gold medal standard. Now he wants more.
Burroughs made an Instagram post that indicates he will compete at the World Team Trials in Omaha, Nebraska, on September 14-15.
"Can’t let you guys have all the fun without me," Burroughs said in the post. "See you in Omaha."
The last time we heard from Burroughs was on the microphone at the 2024 Olympic Games. The former Nebraska star provided color commentary for the wrestling competition after dropping a 3-0 match to Jason Nolf in the Olympic Trials challenge tournament finals.
The 36-year-old won 79 kg World titles in 2021 and 2022 before dropping the best-of-three Final X series to Chance Marsteller in 2023. He will presumably compete at 79 kg in Omaha.
