Iowa posted its updated roster Tuesday and there are some notable changes in Iowa City.

Stephen Buchanan has joined the Hawkeyes, the addition of Jacori Teemer appears imminent, it looks as if Drake Ayala is moving up a weight, and four previous starters have moved on from the Hawkeyes.

Buchanan, a three-time All-American in prior stops at Wyoming and Oklahoma, has officially joined the Hawkeyes, according to Iowa’s roster

The Wisconsin native is coming off a third-place finish at the 2024 NCAA Championships, where he notched bonus-point wins in four of his six tournament wins. He’s expected to take the 197-pound lineup spot previously occupied by Zach Glazier, who transferred to South Dakota State

Glazier is one of four recent notable departures from the program. Returning heavyweight NCAA qualifier Bradley Hill and 2023 NCAA qualifier Cobe Siebrecht are no longer on the Iowa roster. Neither is Aiden Riggins, Iowa's starter last year at 184. Riggins has enrolled at Iowa State.

Meanwhile, Teemer surfaced Tuesday in Iowa’s school directory. The returning 157-pound national finalist reached the NCAA podium three times for Arizona State, where he compiled a 76-15 record.

Ayala was Iowa’s top placewinner in March at the NCAA Championships after his run to the 125-pound title bout, but he’s now listed 133 pounds on the Hawkeye roster.
