St. Louis has been a frequent host, holding the event nine times since 2000 and most recently in 2021. Minneapolis was scheduled to host the event in 2000 but was denied due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Minnesotan city hasn't hosted the event since 1996. This time around will look very different, however as the event will be held in US Bank Stadium. US Bank Stadium is the home to the Minnesota Vikings professional football team and has a capacity of over 66,000. Many fans were concerned in 2020 about how well a football stadium could host a wrestling tournament.

NCAAs in St. Louis will once again be held in the Enterprise Center (formerly the Scottrade Center), the same arena that has held the tournament every time it has been in St. Louis.

This year's D1 National Championships are being held in Philadelphia and next year's will be in Cleveland.
The NCAA also announced the host sites for the DII National Championships - Cedar Rapids in 2027 and Pittsburgh in 2028.
The 2028 DIII National Championships will take place in La Crosse while the 2027 DIII Championships will be awarded at a later date.
