160 Pounds: Cheyenne Bowman, King (NCAA) Latifah McBryde, Life (NAIA)
Bowman has reached the National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Championship finals at two different weights and is seeking her first national title during her senior campaign. She reached the 68 kg finals at the 2023 US Nationals before forfeiting to Mallory Velte.
Her 6-4 semifinal win over Kaylynn Albrecht shows how competitive the All-Star Classic could be. McBryde led Albrecht in the 2023 NAIA finals before losing, 11-8, in the final second.
McBryde has reached the 2023 and 2024 NAIA Championship finals and, like Bowman, is seeking her first college national championship.
Bowman presents challenges for anyone she faces. The Tornado star is 5’1” with an excellent single and gut wrench — and she can take you down if you take a misguided shot. Her 10-7 win over North Central’s three-time national champion Yelena Makoyed at the 2022 National Duals is her signature win, showing off her unique skillset.
McBryde returns to the All-Star Classic, falling to Iowa’s Marlynne Deede, 8-3. Bowman fell to Deede in the 2024 NCWWC finals, 9-3.
The Life University star works from an underhook and pushes the pace. She scores in bunches and looks for a fall with traditional folkstyle techniques. McBryde is taller than Bowman so this is an opportunity to use snapdowns and go-behinds to score. Bowman doesn’t get out of position so McBryde should stay patient with her attacks.

McBryde on competing in the 2024 All-Star Classic: “I'm excited. Last year I had the opportunity to go to All-Star with Sarah [Savidge], but now this time, it is my sister obviously, they're both my teammates, so it's it's really cool to be able to be on that big of a stage alongside my sister. Now, my parents will be there to see both of us, my brother is going to be able to be in town as well to watch. It's fun. I love being on those types of stages and I'm just really grateful to have another opportunity to do what I love and to do, in that type of environment, because it was really fun to do it last year.”
