Every Iowa Wrestling Roster Since 1973
Check out every University of Iowa wrestling line-up since the 1972-73 season.
Below are post-season rosters for every Iowa men’s wrestling team since 1973. Gary Kurdelmeier replaced Dave McCuskey after the 1972 season and hired Olympic gold medalist Dan Gable as his assistant.
Gable coached the Hawkeyes from 1977 through 1997 (21 seasons), leading the team to 15 NCAA titles and 21 consecutive Big Ten Championships before retiring at 48. Jim Zalesky coached Iowa from 1998 through 2006 before current head coach Tom Brands took over for the 2007 season.
Iowa has not finished lower than eighth at the NCAA Championships since 1973.
