Rutgers wrestling begins their season on Nov. 9 with Journeymen's Wranglemania where they will have matches against Duke and Franklin & Marshall. This will be one of the multiple continue non-conference events the team will compete in.

The Scarlet Knights comes in at No. 20 in the FloWrestling preseason rankings which is the same place they finished as a team during the NCAA tournament last season.

Two All-American returners lead the team in Dylan Shawver (No. 6 at 133) and Yaraslau Slavikouski (No. 5 at 285). Four other ranked wrestlers include  Dean Peterson (No. 10 at 125), Jackson Turley (No. 14 at 174), Brian Soldano (No. 22 at 184), and John Poznanski (No. 15 at 197).

For Rutgers, their Big Ten schedule will start on the road in Bloomington, IN against the Indiana Hoosiers on Jan.10 with the biggest projected opponents being Ohio State and Penn State.
