The Virginia Tech wrestling team season kicks off on Friday against Chattanooga and then will host the Southeast Open the next day. Virginia Tech is ranked 8th to start the season after finishing 7th at NCAAs in March.

2024 NCAA champion, Caleb Henson (No. 1 at 149 and No. 10  pound-for-pound) will be one of the key All-American returners for the Hokies, along with TJ Stewart Jr. (No. 7 at 184) and Lennox Wolak (No. 8 at 174). Other ranked wrestlers for Virginia Tech include Connor McGonagle (No. 14 at 133), Sam Latona (No. 17 at 141), Connor Brady (No. 17 at 165), Andy Smith (No. 11 at 197), and Hunter Catka (No. 12 at 285).

North Carolina will be the first ACC opponent that that Virginia Tech will face on Jan. 10, roughly a week after the Southern Scuffle concludes. The full Virginia Tech wrestling schedule for 2024-2025 is attached below.
