Wyoming wrestling starts its season on Halloween with a match against Campbell in a dual at the Daddy matchup in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The Cowboys are ranked 23rd in the preseason rankings after finishing 33rd in the 2024 NCAA tournament.

Big 12 champion and only returning All-American wrestler for the Cowboys, Jore Volk (No. 3 at 125), will be expected to lead the team going into the season. Gabe Willochell (No. 14 at 149) and Joey Novak (No. 10 at 197) are also going to be looked at as two of the teams' best wrestlers and leaders.

Aside from early conference matchups against Oklahoma and Oklahoma State on the weekend of Nov. 22-23, the majority of Big 12 matches will occur in January.

Wyoming will conclude regular season action with the Cowboy shootout at the Uniwyo Sports Complex on February 23.
