Wyoming's Jore Volk and South Dakota State's Tanner Jordan met in the final match of their 2023-24 season for 7th place at the NCAA Championships. Now, the pair of All-Americans are set to meet for the 5th time in their college careers at the NWCA All-Start Classic at Penn State.

This meeting between Volk and Jordan will be the fifth time the two have wrestled in their careers. Their first meeting occurred during a Wyoming vs South Dakota State dual two seasons go. Volk won 7-1 in that contest, but their last several matches have been much tighter. In fact, there was only one total takedown in their last three meetings.

During the 2023-24 season, Jordan secured a 2-1 victory over Volk during their February showdown at the annual Wyoming vs South Dakota State Dual, but Volk notched 1-0 and 4-0 wins at Big 12s and NCAAs respectively. The narrow margins of victory in all three bouts suggest that this All-Star Classic showdown should be ultra competitive.
