The PPL Center in Allentown is sold out and looks like it will be an absolutely electric environment for wrestling. The Mountain Hawk mascot has already pumped up the crowd, and we're ready to go!
Introductions are in the books. Many of the Penn State starters received loud applause from the crowd, but Lehigh's Ryan Crookham and Michael Beard also got big reactions.
125: #23 Luke Lilledahl, Penn State dec #17 Sheldon Seymour, Lehigh 4-1
1st period - Seymour's hand fight has been strong in the first half of the perid His collar ties, underhooks, and two on one ties have kept the action to a minimum. The first period ends without a score.
2nd period - Lilledahl chooses bottom and escapes in the first 5 seconds of the period to take a 1-0 lead. The rest of the period looked a lot like the first. Seymour now has been on a single leg twice but hasn't scored.
3rd period - Seymour chose bottom and nearly escaped in the first five seconds, but Lilledahl pursued out of bounds. on the restart, Seymour escaped to tie the match 1-1 at the 1:48 mark. Seymour shoots his third single of the match and this time got to a lock that resulted in a stalemate with 55 seconds left. Seymour got deep on a single with around 20 seconds left, but a lightning fast counter earned Lilledahl the takedown. He rode the last 15 seconds to take a 4-1 victory over a ranked opponent.

133: #1 Ryan Crookham, Lehigh dec #8 Braeden Davis, Penn State 4-2
1st period - The first minute was uneventful, but Davis got in on a nice single leg with around 1:45 to go. Crookham's tricky knee resulted in a potentially dangerous stoppage. With around 40 seconds left, Crookham took a shot, Davis caught him in a front headlock, but Crookham dragged out for the takedown. a 27 second rideout makes it 3-0 Crookham after the first period.
2nd period - Crookham chose bottom and escaped in 19 seconds to improve his lead to 4-0. Davis darted to another single leg, but Crookham's trick knee resulted in another stalemate with about a minute to go. No shots the rest of the period.
3rd period - Davis chose bottom. Crookham nearly got swipes with a tilt, but Davis avoided the danger. Davis created enough space to granby out before riding time reached a minute. It's now 4-1 for Crookham with 45 seconds left. Crookham was warned for stalling with 30 seconds to go. A second stall call right before the buzzer made it 4-2 for Crookham.

141: #3 Beau Bartlett, Penn State dec Carter Bailey, Lehigh 5-0
1st period - After a slow first two minutes, Bartlett got deep on a single leg and lifted Bailey off the ground. Bailey extended the position with a long scramble, but Bartlett systematically earned the takedown and rode for the last 12 seconds. He's up 3-0 with 12 seconds of riding time.
2nd period - Bartlett chose bottom and escaped in 18 seconds to improve his lead to 4-0. No other points that period.
3rd period - Bailey chose bottom. Bartlett has put a tough ride together. He's hit for stalling on top with 15 seconds left. The restart doesn't help Bailey as Bartlett completes the rideout for a 5-0 victory.

149: #2 Shayne Van Ness, Penn State maj dec Matt Repos, Lehigh 17-3
1st period - Van Ness hit a beautiful knee pull single at around the one minute mark, but Repos somehow got his leg back. it's scoreless half way through the first. Van Ness used a seat belt position to cast his far leg over Repos' body to put in a leg ride and secure a takedown with 44 seconds left then rode the remainder of the period.
2nd period - Van Ness split his forehead, so we're stopped for blood time. Van Ness started the period on bottom. After a quick escape, Van Ness hit a nasty cow catcher with an unconfentional finish for a takedown but no nearfall. He leads 7-0. Repos escaped, but a hard snap and persistent go-behind earned Van Ness a third takedown with ten seconds left. A ride out made it 10-1 after the second.
3rd period - Repos chose bottom and escaped to make it 10-2. Van Ness shot on the edge to earn a stall call against Repos. A Repos shot led to a Van Ness sprawl and takedown to make it 13-2. Van Ness cut him loose to look for another takedown. Van Ness hit an ankle pick on the edge. Riding time makes the final score 17-3.

157: #4 Tyler Kasak, Penn State dec Logan Rozynski, Lehigh 5-2
1st period - Kasak used a two on one to get to a single leg, but Rozynski's stingy whizzer defense prevented any points. Kasak took Rozynski out of bounds with 45 seconds left to earn a stall call. Rozynski goes out of bounds again with 13 seconds left for a second stall call. Kasak leads 1-0 after the first.
2nd period - Rozynski chose bottom and escaped in 15 seconds to tie the match 1-1. Kasak backed out of bounds this time for his first stall call of the match. Now Kasak gets to a single leg and a wild scramble ensues. Kasak gets the hard earned takedown and rideout for the 4-1 lead.
3rd period - Kasak chose bottom. Rozynski put a tough ride together for the first 1:11 of the period before a blood time stoppage. On the restart, Rozynski cut Kasak loose to make it 5-1. Rozynski shot Kasak out of bounds to earn another stall call and a point with 15 seconds left. Rozynski pursued but couldn't score at the end. Kasak takes it 5-2.

165: #1 Mitchell Mesenbrink, Penn State tech Thayne Lawrence, Lehigh 18-1
1st period - Mesenbrink scores in the first 10 seconds with a single leg and head wheel finish. He cuts Lawrence loose to make it 3-1. and quickly hits another single and scrambles to another takedown for a 6-1 lead. Mesenbrink opted to work from the top position and put a brutal first period together. He earned a stall call and 2:33 of riding time.
2nd period - Mesenbrink chose bottom and escaped in 7 seconds. He immediately fired a head outside single and scrambled for the finish and 10-1 lead. In the process, he kept a turk that allowed him to earn four backpoints for a 14-1 lead. Mesenbrink used an arm bar for another four points and a tech. He wins 18-1.

174: #2 Levi Haines, Penn State fall Rylan Rogers, Lehigh 4:12
1st period - Rogers hit a beautiful drag off a Haines shot, but Haines scrambled to a stalemate. No score half way through the period. Haines got in on a single leg with 33 seconds left and powered through the sprawl of Rogers for a takedown and rideout. He leads 3-0.
2nd period - Haines selects bottom. He's out in 10 seconds and now leads 4-0. Haines hit a head outside single and finished with a turk. He ended it with a fall!

184: #1 Carter Starocci, Penn State maj dec Jack Wilt, Lehigh 15-1
1st period - Starocci hit a head-inside single, elevated it, but couldn't score due to a potentially dangerous stoppage. He finished a low-level attack with 1:48 to go, but Wilt needs injury time. Starocci selects bottom after injury time. He escapes to make it 4-0. Wilt drops in on a low single that ends with a stalemate. Starocci finishes a head outside single with 41 seconds to go. He leads 7-0 after the first.
2nd period - Starocci starts down and escapes quickly to move to an 8-0 lead. Wilt is ion on another low single, but Starocci stalemates it again. Starocci hits a nice re-attack off Wilt's pressure to extend his lead to 11-0. At the end of the period, he also has 1:15 of riding time.
3rd period - Wilt needs a new headgear, but the backup looks like it was made for Barry Bonds, so now they're in headgear repair mode. Wilt is now ready to go and starts on bottom. At the one minute mark, Starocci cuts Wilt to make it 11-1. Wilt darts in on a low single that results in a stalemate with 26 seconds left. Starocci hits a nice single leg, and finishes as time expires. He wins 15-1. Starocci is hit with an unsportsmanlike penalty which takes a team point away from Penn State.

197: #21 Josh Barr, Penn State maj dec #6 Michael Beard, Lehigh 11-3
1st period - Barr uses a number of fakes through the first two minutes of the match. Beard hits attempts a low single, but Barr steps out of it. It's a scoreless first period.
2nd period - Beard starts on bottom. He hits a standing switch for a reversal on the edge and now attempts to ride Barr with a 2-0 lead. Barr escapes to make it 2-1. Beard has 15 seconds of riding time. Barr hits a beautiful single leg and finishes to take a 4-2 lead headed into the third.
3rd period - Barr selects bottom. He escapes quickly to make it 5-2. Barr is in on another deep attack that he finishes to extend his lead to 8-2. Beard escapes with 1:15 left. He trails 8-3. Barr hits a double but switches to a single on the sprawl of Beard. He fights through Beard's hips for a third takedown and an 11-3 lead. A rideout gives Barr a major decision. He celebrates with a big flex.

285: #2 Greg Kerkvliet, Penn State tech Calvin Lachman, Lehigh 15-0
1st period - Kerkvliet hits a swim single for a takedown and immediately puts a leg ride in on the left side. They go out of bounds, and Lachman gets a restart on bottom. Kerkvliet earns 4 swipes on a tilt, and he's up 7-0. Now a claw tilt makes it 11-0. One more claw tilt gives Kerkvliet a 15-0 tech in a little over two minutes.
