Video Game Numbers returns to your screens for the week to highlight the best of the best stat lines from all levels of college hoops, and it’s a loaded crop of outstanding outings once again as we approach a second go-round of holiday hoops.
Here’s a look back at college basketball’s Video Game Numbers from the week that was across the NCAA landscape:
NOTE: Stats are for the week of Dec. 8-14.
Men Basketball Stats
Division I: Jamichael Stillwell, F, Milwaukee
A double-double machine that the Horizon League-leading Panthers found in the offseason from the junior college level, only two players at the D-I level have more 10-and-10 games than Stillwell’s seven as of this writing.
But even he outdid himself in Milwaukee’s 88-67 rivalry win at Green Bay last Wednesday in the Battle of I-43, of which Milwaukee now has a three-game winning streak in the series.
Unsurprisingly, Stillwell had another double-double in that game as the 6-foot-8 presence had his way on the interior, but doing it in the form of a 24-point, 19-rebound outing — both numbers of which were season highs for him — was impressive even by his standards, having secured the double-double by halftime as he had 17 points and 11 rebounds at the break.
It was his ability to corral in missed Panthers shots, however, that was most eye-catching: if you took away all of Stillwell’s defensive rebounds against the Phoenix, he still would’ve had a double-double as he brought down 11 offensive boards. Those 19 total boards also set an all-time program record at Milwaukee and was one off what would’ve been the first 20-rebound game in Panthers history, too, with the point being that Stillwell is an awesome talent worth keeping an eye on at the mid-major level this season.
Division II: Chris Terrell, G, Delta State
Terrell plays at a much bigger level than his 6-foot, 165-pound frame would indicate, as evidenced by the week he had for the Statesmen to get him on this week’s edition of Video Game Numbers.
He had a solid game in DSU’s loss last Thursday against Montevallo, scoring 21 points with five 3-pointers. But it was what he did two nights later in the Statesmen’s 92-80 victory over Auburn Montgomery that sealed the deal for him to earn some recognition for his efforts.
Terrell exploded for 42 points, a career-high in which he also drained five triples for the second straight game. He also shot 92% from the free throw line (13 for 14) and racked up a team-high four steals, showing off plenty of talent in all facets of the game as he helped DSU hold off a late Warhawks charge and solidified his spot as one of the top offensive weapons in the Gulf South Conference, ranking second in the conference in scoring (21.4 points per game) as of Tuesday afternoon behind Alabama Huntsville’s Chris Murr.
And speaking of UAH, Terrell and the Statesmen will get a shot at the league-leading Chargers on Saturday in their final game before the Christmas break live and exclusively on FloCollege. That matchup will come two days after DSU’s next game on the GSC slate, an away tilt Thursday (also on FloCollege) against West Alabama.

Division III: Peter Gorman, G, Ramapo
Setting your season-high scoring mark by halftime one night and leading your team to a win over a ranked team the next? Not a bad week at all for Gorman, who took the Roadrunners to a pair of victories this past week against Montclair State and The College of New Jersey to make it three wins in a row in New Jersey Athletic Conference play.
Gorman was shot out of a cannon from the opening jump against Montclair State last Wednesday, scoring 26 of his new career-high 38 points in the first half as Ramapo held on for an 82-76 win. With 13 made shots and six steals on the defensive end to boot, the Roadrunners’ star saw his talent travel well on the road, punctuated by a 3-pointer that all but sealed the deal with 20 seconds left.
TCNJ, receiving in the last D3hoops.com Top 25 poll and having been previously ranked before their matchup last Saturday, had the potential to be a tougher test for Ramapo to get past, but Gorman was unfazed. He played all 40 minutes in the Roadrunners’ 88-76 win, scoring 26 points and going a perfect 10 for 10 from the free throw line in the process, improving his percentage from the charity stripe for the week to 19 for 20 (95%).
Ramapo ends its pre-Christmas stretch a solid 7-3 with a trip to Las Vegas for the D3hoops.com Classic on the horizon Dec. 28-29, where the Roadrunners will square off against Mount Union and Whitter (part of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, of which FloCollege is its exclusive home) and Gorman will be looking to pick up where he left off.
Women's Basketball Stats
Division I: Hannah Hidalgo, G, Notre Dame
There’s flirting with a triple-double normally, and then there’s flirting with a triple-double against UConn, of all teams.
Yeah, it’s safe to say Hidalgo earned her spot on Video Game Numbers this week.
The Associated Press First Team All-American sophomore guard and one of the many dangerous pieces on No. 3-ranked Notre Dame already would’ve had a good week anyway if it stopped after the Fighting Irish’s win at Syracuse back on Dec. 8, when she dropped 24 points and had 10 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. And then she decided to one-up herself in the Irish’s following game last Thursday against the then-No. 2 Huskies.
With a national audience watching a clash between two of the favorites to win the national championship, Hidalgo put on a show that observers won’t be able to forget anytime soon. She was instrumental in leading Notre Dame to a 79-68 win in South Bend by draining six 3-pointers in a 29-point display, also bringing down 10 boards while being two assists shy of a triple-double all the while. Oh, and she had three steals with all of that, too.
Hidalgo has scored at least 24 points in four consecutive games as of Tuesday afternoon, all Notre Dame wins. A pace like this might not just mean another All-America nod is in Hidalgo’s future, but maybe national player of the year, too.

Division II: Ella Doherty, G, Cal State Monterey Bay
A change of scenery has done wonders for Doherty, who proved that with emphasis despite only one qualifying game this past week with the Otters.
The Scotland native spent three years at Toledo, sparingly playing there with the three-time reigning Mid-American Conference regular-season champions before going to the D-II ranks with Cal State Monterey Bay this offseason. Now, just eight games into her career at the D-II level, she’s the California Collegiate Athletic Association’s leading scorer (as of Tuesday afternoon) coming off of her best performance yet in an 81-68 Otters win this past Saturday against Lincoln (California).
Playing all 40 minutes in a marathon outing, Doherty dropped a career-high 37 points (the second-most in a game in CSUMB history) and brought down 14 rebounds for a loaded double-double, only turning the ball over once as she went an efficient 12 for 14 on 2-point shots. She also got to the line frequently, shooting 10 of 13 from the free throw line in her big-time game.
It was an explosive night that almost doubled her previous season high (20 points) and gave a feel-good moment to an Otters team that been trying to find some consistency, being just 2-6 going into its nonconference matchup Wednesday against Simpson live on FloCollege.
For the second time this season, Ella Doherty is the @goccaa Player of the Week. #WeAreMB

Division III: Amanda Leary, G, Springfield
Like single-game performances where the stat sheet is stuffed? Look no further than the game Leary had in Springfield’s lone qualified matchup for Video Game Numbers this week, which was an 84-61 rout over Albertus Magnus last Saturday to get to 7-3 ahead of an over two-week break for Christmas.
Leary was awesome in 31 minutes played for the Pride, scoring 26 points with 12 rebounds, six assists, and five blocks as the junior essentially did whatever she wanted whenever she wanted on the floor against the Falcons. It was her third double-double of the season and undoubtedly her most impressive yet, being able to distribute, make a play at the rim, and/or get a bucket for Springfield — even from deep on occasion as she knocked down a season-high three 3-pointers — whenever called upon.
Taking a step forward this season for the Pride as she is turning into one of the team’s most reliable performers (career-best 14.4 points, 7.1 rebounds per game as of Tuesday afternoon), Springfield, which won a share of the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference title last season, wants the whole thing this time around. Continued all-around dominance from Leary may help them get there.
Great POSSE win heading into the holiday break👏
