Dozens Of Upsets In Week 8 Of The 2024-25 NCAA Season
All the upsets between D1 NCAA wrestlers from week 8 of the 2024-25 season.
The upsets don't stop for the holidays! We've compiled all the upsets we could find in week 8 of the 2024-25 NCAA D1 wrestling season.
The usual caveats apply. Results that look like upsets today won't necessarily look like upsets by the end of the year, or even next week. In particular, there were several wrestlers this week who registered 'upset wins', however, the only reason the winner was unranked was because they were not the presumed starter for one reason or another, and so our rankers did not have them in the top 33.
For instance, Cody Chittum was unranked at 157 as Paniro Johnson was the ranked 157-pounder for Iowa State, although now it appears the Paniro will be moving down to 149 (even though he wrestled last week at 165). Another example is Ben Davino, who is not ranked because he's a true freshman still redshirting and Nic Bouzakis is still the presumed 133-pounder for the Buckeyes.
It's also possible we made a mistake or missing something, in which case let us know and we'll fix it!
Below are all the results in descending order from biggest upsets (by rank) to smallest.
