P4P #4 Piper Fowler Commits To William Penn
The nation's top 170-pound wrestler is headed to William Penn in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
The fourth-best pound-for-pound and top 170-pound wrestler in the country is off the recruiting board. Piper Fowler of Cleveland, Tennessee, is headed to Oskaloosa, Iowa, to compete for William Penn University.
Head coach Jake Kadel made a statement by securing Fowler. He will seek the best wrestlers in the country, proving that the NAIA is still viable as he competes against the NCAA for top talent.
Fowler is two-time U17 World teamer, striking gold in 2023. She is a three-time Fargo All-American (2-5-1) and a two-time Super 32 finalist, including a 2022 title.
“I am excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at William Penn University,” Fowler said on Instagram. “I wouldn’t be able to do this without my amazing family and coaches in my corner.”
William Penn finished fourth at the 2024 NAIA Championships with three individual champions, the most of any program. The Statesmen are currently ranked #5 in the NAIA rankings.
