Cruz earned his first ranked win of the season by upsetting #27 Nicolar Rivera. Drake Rhodes came up clutch in overtime to defeat Wisconsin redshirt freshman Brock Bobzien. Miguel Estrada wrestled well filling in for injured #1 Jacori Teemer. Estrada controlled his match against Luke Mechler from start to finish and was 1 takedown away from a major decision After a great start to their season, Iowa will travel back home and welcome #11 Illinois to Carver-Hawkeye Arena on Friday, January 17 in what should be a fantastic dual.
