William Penn Women's Freestyle Team Adds 2 Olympians To Roster
The William Penn women's freestyle team added Nigerian Olympians Esther Kolawole and Christianah Ogunsanya to its line-up for the second semester.

William Penn women's freestyle coach Jake Kadel is making a final push for the NAIA Championships on March 14-15 in Wichita, Kansas.
The Statesmen added Nigerian Olympians Esther Kolawole and Christianah Ogunsanya to its roster for the second semester. In addition, 2024 NAIA champion Caitlyn Davis transferred from Southern Oregon late last year. Mia Palumbo, a three-time national finalist and 2024 NAIA champion, is questionable to return but hasn't been ruled out for the season.
This could make things interesting as teams make their final roster moves.
Kolawole is ranked #14 at 62 kg (136.5 pounds) in the United World Wrestling international rankings, while Ogunsanya is ranked #13 at 53 kg (116 pounds).
Both competed in the 2024 Paris Olympics and are set to participate in the Warrior Open on Saturday, January 25, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Ogunsanya will wrestle at 117 and Kolawole at 138.
Kolawole won a bronze medal at the 2024 U23 World Championships, falling to American and current Iowa Hawkeye Macey Kilty in the round of 16. She led Kilty 3-1 with a minute left before getting pinned.
