Iowa travels to Penn State for the biggest dual of the season. The #2 Hawkeyes and the #1 Nittany Lions square off on Friday, January 31, at 7 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network. 

Circle the 149-pound match between #3 Shayne Van Ness (Penn State) and #4 Kyle Parco (Iowa).

These two met for third place at the 2023 NCAA Championships, with Van Ness winning 7-2 when Parco wrestled for Arizona State. Van Ness defeated Parco, 5-1, at the 2023 NWCA All-Star Classic a few months later. 

Van Ness wrestled three more times during the 2023-24 season before a season-ending injury. 

Parco is a four-time All-American with NCAA tournament finishes of 6th, 8th, 4th, and 5th from 2021 to 2024.
