The 2025 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships hit the mats in Providence, R.I., on March 14, pitting dozens of the best NCAA DIII teams against each other at the Amica Mutual Pavilion.

At the 2024 NCAA DIII Championships, Augsburg University took a 95.0 - 87.5 win over Wartburg College to win the team title.

Augsburg's monumental win in 2024 led to a tie between the two schools for the title of the all-time winningest NCAA DIII wrestling program. 

The two teams have historically clashed in the NCAA DIII Championships, appearing as the winner and runner-up of the tournament in 19 different championships.

Augsburg and Wartburg are set to clash again this year, with eight and six wrestlers taking on the championships respectivelty.

Augsburg had two champions in 2024, with Bentley Schwanebeck-Ostermann and Tyler Kim winning titles, and Wartburg had one champion, Massoma Endene, win a title.
