There are two returning Champs in the field at 197. But neither of them won the 2012 title.

Dustin Kilgore (Kent St.) was the Champ at 197 back in 2011 when he won over OK State’s Clayton Foster. He returns from an Olympic Redshirt season.

Penn State’s Quentin Wright won the bout just before Kilgore in the 2011 finals. He was the NCAA Champ at 184 that year.

Having both stars in the fold gives 197 a much needed shot in the arm. Five of last year’s All American’s have graduated, including the Champ and 3 of 4 semifinalists.
