Throughout the season, Brute will bring you its National Wrestler of The Week. Wrestlers can be from any age level and will be selected based on their performances from the previous week only.
This week’s honor goes to Bo Jordan of Graham HS in St. Paris, OH. Bo dominated his way through what was considered the toughest bracket in Ironman. The weight consisted of #-1 Bo, #2-Isaiah Martinez, #3-Josh Llopez, and #7-Myles Martin.
Racking up two pins, a tech fall, and a major decision, Bo navigated the bracket to make his way to the finals opposite Martinez for the second straight year where he controlled the entire bout in a 4-2 win.
The Ironman title was Jordan’s third straight at the prestigious tournament.
Other Candidates Considered this Week:
Brooks Black, Blair Academy, NJ - Black won his third consecutive Ironman, beating #6-Michael Johnson in the finals. He finished off what is one of the all-time best Ironman careers with a 4th place finish as a Freshman followed by the three titles.
Nathan Tomasello, CVCA, OH - Tomasello also won his third Ironman title and he did it in dominating fashion: with a fall over #2-Matt Kolodzik in the finals. It was a battle of Fargo National Freestyle Champions from this summer.
Corey Clark, University of Iowa - Clark, now in his redshirt year, came to Iowa as one of the top recruits in the country. He was a Fargo National Champ this summer and a Dapper Dan participant. Last weekend he showed his potential, dominating Illinois’ All-American Jesse Delgado, 6-1.
