Throughout the season, Brute will bring you its National Wrestler of The Week. Wrestlers can be from any age level and will be selected based on their performances from the previous week.
This week’s honors go to Missouri’s Alan Waters.
Wrestling at the National Duals in Minnesota, Waters beat 2x National Champion Matt McDonough of Iowa. In doing so, Waters remains the only unbeaten 125lber in the nation.

Logan Storely and Tony Nelson, Minnesota - pinned #2-Chris Perry and #3-Alan Gelogaev, respectively, to help guide the Gophers to back-to-back National Duals titles.
Mitch Minotti, Lehigh - won the National Collegiate Open to finish the season with a 43-11 record. He leads the country in wins.
Mark Grey, Cornell - won an a loaded 133lb NCO bracket with wins over Mason Beckman (Lehigh) and Ryan Mango (Stanford).
Nick Piccininni, Ward Melville, NY - majored returning state champ, Kyle Kelly, to capture a NYS big school crown.
Boo Lewallen, Yukon, OK - won the state title with wins over last year’s state champ (Markus Simmons) and state runner-up (Cody Karstetter).
